DR. ALVIA WARDLAW
Alvia is one of the foremost curators of modern and contempoary art. She is a professor of art history and the director and curator of the University Museum at Texas Southern University, historical African American College institution. She has hosted major exhibits both nationally and internationally.
ANISA MEHDI
Anisa is a 2009-2010 Fullbright Scholar in Jordan. Mehdi is an Emmy Award-winning broadast journalist and filmaker who work includes directing "Inside Mecca" for National Geographic Television and as Executive Producer of the PBS special "Muslims".
RANDY H. GOODMAN
Randy has been photographing people, politics and events for over thirty years. She began her photojournalism career in Iran. During the months following the US Embassy takeover and the holding of American hostages, she photographed a grassroots delegation of American meeting with the Iranian students holding the hostages. She is currently showing her international exhibit titled Iran: Images from Beneath a Chador.
LINDA AL-KHOURY
Linda fell in love with photography since she was given her first camera at the age of 12. She took her first class in Black and White photography and created her own dark room. She has lectured on photography at Al-Quds ollege, worked for Camera House as a technical advisor, and fascinated photography lovers with her photographs through many local and regional magazines. Linda, our youngest judge, is from Jordan.
KYLE "T.J." FU
Kyle is an original origami master, making beautiful origami pieces that express the creative spirit. He is also the owner of Zen Art Gallery, an alternative art space for emerging artists and patrons that enjoy fine art or who seek to make their way into the international art markets.
ZOHRAB MARKARIAN
Zohrab's love of photography and his staggering talent led him to be King Hussein's royal photographer. He spent 22 years chronicling the lives of the Jordanian Royal family, "The best of day of my life," Zohrab says. Starting with his first book, "King and Country," Zohrab's books and publications are widely distributed throughout the world.
JANA HUNTEROVA
Jana's work searches out, reveals, and seeks to preserve the richness and vulnerability of modern cultural identity. She has developed a "live" photographic style that explores humanity in a photo-journalist way. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Belgium, Egypt, Finland, Italy, Palestinian territory, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and the USA.
